ABOUT ME...

Hi! I'm Jodi. I love Jesus with my whole heart, my growing family, and coffee---but does coffee even count? I appreciate the real and simple connection that come by authentic conversations, and I prefer to listen deeply. God has given me understanding---and a sense for what people think and feel, even when words are left unspoken. For a long time I didn't understand or appreciate my empathy gift. Because I harbored my own unhealed wounds, I didn't know what to do with the pain, and it became unbearable. But God set me free from fear and shame, and He healed my heart. He taught me how to trust Him with the heavy weight and allow Him to carry my burdens. By following His lead, I've learned to bravely intercede. Now, I am soft and strong and steady. And I'm especially passionate about creating space for others to intimately encounter God's very powerful yet peace-filled presence. When His Holy Spirit shares words, I shoot them straight like arrows, because I know His words bring life. For me, being radical means practicing vulnerability, since that's how healing happened for me. So, pull up a chair and let's chat. I sure do hope you'll stay a while.
THIS IS US...
Randy and I were married in June, 2002 and have experienced quite the mix of impactful moments together since then. Most have been happy and exciting, and though some have felt sad and scary, we've grown through each of them. I am so grateful for this man!
Armed with purpose, passion, and the prayers of many saints, we began serving as church planting missionaries in rural, northeastern Thailand in 2006. Although we had planned to stay on forever there, God had other ideas----and that's a long story for another day. When we returned to the US in 2012, we began building afresh---raising our six children and a few chickens, too!
In our quest to know God as a good father, we learned to let a lot of things go---such as fear of man, insecurity, and false expectations.
Now we understand more fully who we are as God's beloved children, and so we are intentional about pursuing a wholeness lifestyle from the inside out. And by relying on His grace and guidance, we have gained so much! We know that our Father really is good---"how deeply intimate and far-reaching is His love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement, beyond academic knowledge." And we pray for you, that "this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!" (Ephesians 3:18-19 TPT)
